Thankful Thursdays

Welcome to another edition of Thankful Thursdays! Please join us by posting your Thankful Thursdays on your blog and linking back up with this blog! Please use the above Thankful Thursday icon, you can grab the code from the bottom of this post. Don't have a blog? That's okay too! Just leave your Thankful Thursday message in the comments section! Thanks for participating! I'm thankful for all of you!

This week I am thankful for sleep. I'm getting less and less of it as this pregnancy progresses and I am VERY thankful for what I get!

I am thankful for my husband. Monday was our 7 year anniversary! 7 years and 2 and 1/2 boys later and I love him more now than I ever did. He is an amazing man. Even after a long day at work he isn't scared to help out around the house whether that means cleaning, doing the dishes (which he does everyday), folding laundry or taking care of the boys. He tends to draw the line at dirty diapers, but he will even do that too! He even sends me upstairs to our room for "Mommy Time" when he thinks I'm stressed out! He's awesome!

I am thankful for my son's preschool. He learns so much everyday that I would have NEVER thought to tell him about. Yesterday they got to tour a firetruck and a REAL (his word!) fireman read them a book, they had an eye test AND they learned about dinosaur fossils; all in 3 hours! His teachers are amazing!

I am thankful for disposable diapers. On a normal day my nearly 2 year old has 3 or 4 dirty diapers. I can't even imagine the work involved in using cloth diapers for that many dirties everyday! So, THANK YOU so very much to whoever invented them!

I am even thankful for all of the dirty laundry in my house. Even though it seems to add up overnight, it tells me that everyone in my house is healthy and active!

There probably will not be a Thankful Thursdays post next week as I will be out of town in the middle of the mountains with no internet service, so please be sure to participate this week!

So, what are YOU thankful for?

Target Shopping List for the Week of Nov 15

Okay, let's start with the bad news. *sigh* Target has now put a limit on their coupons. You will have to load a program to your computer to be able to print them and you will only be able to print 2 Target coupons per computer before you get the dreaded "print limit reached" message. For now, sites like hotcouponworld still have the old coupons on their generators, but will not be able to post the new coupons. From what I hear, they have greatly increased the size of the coupons and the amount of color on them (similar to the coupons.com coupons). I totally understand why they did this, I really do, it just makes me sad. Here in the Cincinnati area, I like to refer to it as "shelf-clearing central." Sometimes by the time I have posted a deal, the shelves are already cleared. It's annoying, yes, and bad for the company in that when people go there to get deals and they are sold out of them many people leave very unhappy and don't want to shop at that store anymore. I can't tell you the amount of times I've heard customers yelling at employees at various stores because they are out of an advertised product. (I seriously think that some people think the employees sit in the back of the store and make some of this stuff by hand or something, it's ridiculous!) So, that's the bad news, now onto the deals! WAIT!! I forgot! Apparenlty the new Target Coupon Printing System is not compatible with Windows 7, so if you have Windows 7, you will not be able to print them at all. Oh, and there is no more printing from the kiosks at Target. That is gone too. :( Onto the deals:

FREE Money This Christmas

Okay, the title is kinda misleading. Because I'm not really helping you get free money, I'm just telling you how I did! I'm so very excited!

My 4 year old son has been saying for 2 months now that all he wants for Christmas is Handy Manny's Repair Shop. Every time there is a commercial on for it, it tells me (and we watch the Disney Channel, so we see it A LOT anymore!) and every time we go to ANY store he tells me we should buy it then and we went to the mall the other day and he saw that they were setting up Santa's chair and he told me he needed to see Santa so he could tell him that he wanted Handy Manny's Repair Shop for Christmas! He said "Mommy, he HAS to know! I HAVE to tell him!" So, unless I want a disappointed boy on Christmas morning, I was going to have to buy this toy. Have I mentioned that it's $100?!?! Ugh. I mean, even if we hadn't been on such a tight budget because of lack of employment for most of the year, $100 is still A LOT to spend on a toy for a 4 year old! I knew he would really play with it because he almost exclusively only plays with his other Handy Manny toys and fixes everything in the house! We thought about just asking everyone for money for him before Christmas and compiling it all to buy it, then I had a stroke of GENIUS!!

I've told you before about Swagbucks, but let me tell you again! It's a search engine, not unlike Google or Yahoo that gives you bucks (points really, they just call them bucks to be cute!) when you search. You do not get them every time you search, but they do add up. The best way to earn bucks? Refer your friends! If a friend signs up because of your referral, you get a point every time they do, up to 100 points per referral! Most of my points I actually earned myself, but I think I have about 300 points from my friends using Swagbucks! That really helps your total add up! I also added the search bar to my browser so that I don't have to go to Swagbucks.com every time I want to search, it makes it MUCH easier to earn those Bucks!

Okay, I told you that to tell you this: I cashed in my Swagbucks and now have $80 in gift cards to Target! (I've been using Swagbucks for about about 8 months now, so you won't be able to get much before Christmas, but if you start now you will be able to do it next year!) So, Target actually had the Repair Shop on sale online (it works out to be a discount equal to the amount of shipping, basically making it have free shipping) AND has a coupon that is for $10 off the Repair Shop, taking the price down to $90 (after shipping). Just to do the math for you, I'm going to be able to get this highly requested toy for only about $10!!! I told you it was a genius idea! I'm ordering it through Ebates, so I get 3% of my purchase price back (not a lot but you get $5 just for signing up and with the rate that I use Ebay, it really adds up for me!)

So, long story short, my son's Christmas morning will be VERY happy and I couldn't be more thrilled! I just needed to share with you my excitement!
